When COVID19 hit our Vertical Villages, volunteer Owners Corporation Committees (OCCs) had to make many on-the-run decisions about closing facilities and restricting entry.

With COVID19 restrictions in Victoria beginning to lift, OCCs are again faced with deciding what actions to take.

In this webinar, assisted by Strata Lawyer Tom Bacon and representatives from the Department of Justice and Community Safety, two issues challenging Owners Corporation were discussed:

  • Reopening common property– what powers and responsibilities do OCCs have?
  • OCC Funding – waiving, delaying or reducing OC Fees and interest – what can be legally done?
